Solar Turret Mount SH

SH means it is for Small Turrets (anything but Artillery basically) and High above the ground (on a tower). There is also a SL Version (Small, Low) that is low to the ground and not on a tower.

This is a BA that is just a mount for a turret. It only has a core, ammo box, solar capacitor, solar panels, and I threw in a wireless connection so it would be easier to access the ammo. The turret is left off so you can just pick your own type.

The critical stuff is at the base of the tower with only the solar panels being up high.

You can place an artillery turret on this, it will just hang off the edge and possibly affect the solar. There is a LL Version (Large, Low) that is upsized a bit for artillery turrets. I didn't make a tower version for artillery turrets though because I haven't found them useful.

Turrets use little power (only 5kPU) so the number of solar panels is probably overkill on most planets, but I used four just to handle cases such as near the poles and planets with bad sunlight. I also used sloped ones in all directions so at least one direction should be optimal.

It counts as a base for purposes of drone attacks, so may not survive long term if it is completely alone on a high threat planet with bomber drones.

Can also be useful if you need to power any low-power items as the turret will not run down the battery. The power should be enough for some sentry guns too.
