GarrysMod Racer Map Tester Gamemode

描述
Fairly simple. You subscribe, then select it as your gamemode in the gamemode list, then load a GMR map you are working on. Its got nothing more than the basics, so no free gamemode guys! :3

Here is a link to a zip file of the FGD that many mappers use in hammer for their maps!!

F1: Opens a help/Credit menu
F2: Views the Garage menu background. (The parts menu)
F3: If in a garage, spawns a car.
F4: Starts a race.

It tells you how many spawnpoints and checkpoints there are when loading the map, and will tell you to increase the number of spawns if there are less than 28. Racing will always place you in the first spot. Also tells you your time, and the checkpoint number as you pass through it.

This was made mainly for CG members, so enjoy you mappers, and bring us some maps!

~NOTE~
If you cant see the chat at first, hit your chat button, then hit enter, then it should work. Not sure what causes this, but doesnt matter, when the notification system is added, chat will no longer be used.

NOTICE!!
F2 is currently broken for some users, possibly due to a incompatable addon or missing entities in user created maps. I've not had the time to look deep into such an error yet due to life and work, many apologies.

can sb help with this, I dont undrstand where is "Credit menu", and how to find "garage"

This is an actual wiki page created by the gamemode's original auther eight years ago.

For whatever reason, I cannot find a link to an fgd file, but thankfully, I have a copy that was given to me by oneo f the better mappers, so here!

As for testing, I dont know if this gamemode will run multiplayer, but I guess one would have to use sandbox for multiplayer testing.

If i were to make a gmod racer map, 1) is there an available fgd file to use for checkpoints and such, and two other than uploading the map to the workshop how would I be able to play it with other players, there is no guarantee that servers running the gamemode will use my map, and theres no way to test with freinds on a lan server on the gamemode like I can do with ttt maps, because the mode is public.

Is there a way to quickly test the map with other people?

If its listing an error in the console, copy/paste it.
