Designed by myself and CaptJo in our video series, Survive & Thrive Tutorials: Multiplayer S.T.A.R.T. From a single box, to a base, to an empire - or at least to an automated miner. I present to you the DeLorean Moon Miner:

Back from the future, the DeLorean Moon Miner is a cheap first or second generation miner for intrepid space engineers grinding it out in survival. This moon and asteroid capable miner is quick, efficient, and if loaded with the Path Auto Miner script by Keks (see video above and link below), it is a fully programmable automated miner. It comes with a built in stone ejection system allowing miners to dig until they reach what they really want and only return with holds full of valuable ores. Designed to be mostly foolproof in its operation, powerful front and bottom thrust keeps this craft easily maneuverable for both horizontal and vertical mining. Sideways flying not recommended when full, but craft is capable of maintaining all orientations otherwise. Body is also highly adaptable to simply switching out the drills for welders, or guns.

The slim profile, armor plating, foolproof mining profile, and craft re-purposing adaptability makes this twin drill miner a favorite of moon mining industrial workers everywhere.

After that it's a simple matter to dock up the miner, then start recording and undock to set your path to the ore. Then configure your height, width, and depth, and then start the mining job. Once set, you can watch it do its runs or forget about it and go work on something else more productive!
