Furthermore I don't get the +1 Faith from forests from the unique ability. This was all without the community patch.

It completely left out a number of plot details surrounding Formortis, Caer Pelyn, Myrrh, and Morva. You can even see some of that in how inconsistent the in-game text is. In the English version, Myrrh/Saleh support conversations state that there were 2 Great Dragons (Canon), the conversations at Caer Pelyn state that there was only one Great Dragon, Morva (Mistranslation).
Both Myrrh and Morva are Great Dragons. They fought and sealed Formortis together. They're just as accomplished as one another. In fact, the original Japanese text states that the citizens of Caer Pelyn worship both, but might (Stress on the word "Might") actually place religious importance in Myrrh over Morva by referring to Myrrh as "She is our Great Dragon."
