Be Carefull, this mission can be very laggy


-Singleplayer
-Fight: Short ans long distance
-Weather: Morning, stormy, dark
-Mission-Time: long 20 minutes
-Difficulty: Medium - Hard > Auto Save

The biggest assault on the largest city of Malden


Context:
The snowstorm has finally stopped, and our reinforcements are beginning to arrive gradually by the sea. The city of "Le Port" has become the main and last bastion of CSAT. While the great majority of their forces are focused on the north of the island, NATO has decided to launch a final assault on the largest city on the island. All our forces will be mobilized in this conflict. So this is the last battle that will result in any case, the fall of Malden. You will be parachuted above the city that will sink into Chaos.

- Actual problem reported:
-Frame rate can be low

If you encounter any problems, feel free to refer them directly in the comments, so I can fix them and make sure to make the mission "playable" and "pleasant".

Hi ThomaHawk,
I played Malden Downfall again after a year. It's still one of your top scenarios!
But yeah, huge drop in FPS. I think I have a solution.
Tested with an edit version of your scenario.
Divide the entire route into multiple layers, to delete the last layer by means of a trigger when reaching the next layer.
Important to put all modules and trigger in those sections, because they take up the most memory, even though they are no longer relevant.

To delete the layers I have the following line:

Good mission, nice ambient and history. But, on SP, at the last task (kill commander) too much lag (i5, 32 GB memory, AMD graphics) and i get too much work for to clear enemies base (i was need to go on the near montain for to sight the enemies because with lag and them high agressivity and them strategy location). :steamhappy:

Yeah,...performance unfortunately is horrendous. 8-10fps in my case. If this was not the conclusion of the campaign, i'd not have suffered through that. Otherwise, its a great campaign overall, especially the music and atmosphere.

@KrZo Thank you very much, I'm glad you liked it! There are indeed some remaining enemy AI who flew the combat area that can still attack the helicopter during the extraction. I should have fixed that :(

About the optimization, this mission is clealy a mess and I can only be totally agree with that. I wanted to create something bigger than usuall with more details, and I didn't knew how to properly do it without having frame issues. However, I finally found the way so my next scenarios will be bigger and more optimized ;)

@J4nB1: Thank you very much mate, placing many details is my speciality! Sometimes it looks great, and sometimes it is just too much for the Arma Engine haha
