I can hear it now; tested it on singleplayer mode, and you're right it's not very loud. Could you make a mod where it's Spongebob's squeaky boots instead?

@zooboo, sorry for that, i checked it on my and another computer and it worked just fine.

option1: you already downloaded another footstep sound
option2: you just don't hear it (it isn't very loud compared to the default sounds)

try to deinstall and reinstall it :)
