@Zach7551
if i'm bothering you i'll leave you alone from now but i just wanted to clearify that 3 wasn't meant to be insulting to you or the model but that i meant to say is that as long as you learn from your previous work you can improve the next one.
i understand that you best be left alone but i just wanted to clearify and so i did, no need to reply.
Okay I'm gonna keep this formal without being a massive dick
1. im sorry, i cant use blender, its ui is extremely clunky and most of the tutorials on the basics are 1-3 hours long. i really don't want to waste my hard-earned time on certain circumstances.
as a side note, it really confuses me how an expensive program that costs money like 3DS Max has a better interface than a modelling program you can get for $0.
2. Uh, i have researched the source material. It's about a robot cat from the 22nd century that goes back in time to help out a boy from his original owners family tree. i've watched 250 episodes or so of the 1979 anime and have had enough info to even write a description.
unless youre talking about the outfits he wore in the movies (Doraemon: Nobita to Dorabian Nights, Doraemon: Nobita to Mugen sankenshi, Etc.).
3. While i agree with you on this one, I really cant see how a model of a character i have desperately wanted to be in SFM is a mistake.
1: if you're going to model it yourself i recommend taking some lessons in model making as well as a model program like blender (which is free but can be complicated to understand)
you can find lessons on modeling everywhere,don't be afraid to try something else.
2: research the source material carefully, it's rather great when fan service gets added as extra things (think like the different costumes characters wore at some point as extra skins or body groups) this is not required but if you have extra memory space you might wanna considder adding some extra things.
3: learn from mistakes, even the best modelers they had to learn it before they got good, and yes there are going to be projects you'll publish that people will hate, but don't let it get to you, instead learn from what they dislike and see how to improve it.
keep it up and i'm looking forward to updates (or remake) in the future.
That's because I based it on how he looked in the 1979 anime, as opposed to his current design from the 2005 series. It's VERY subtle, but you can see a connection.
