Lake Tana Southern Shores

Inspired by the southern shores of Lake Tana[www.britannica.com] in Ethiopia. The area consists of several different landscapes, from the lake area to desert in the southwest, rocky mountains in the southeast and east of the map, as well as lush rain forest in the southeast.

Due to the geography of the map, the map does not use Sea Level to keep the water in the lake filled up because sea level would flood and fill the entire lower southeastern corner of the map with water. Due to this, the map edges are closed off with land (hidden under fog) and no outside ship connections are available on the map.

The map uses a variety of trees, bushes, gras and other plants from the amazing MrMaison's Nature Collection and from Lost Gecko, pdelmo, Pres, hadece, Matt Crux as well as rocks from Ronyx69, Czardus, OWL, TPB and Avanya. You can download the combined assets for the map in the Lake Tana Nature Collection, but especially Mr Maison's Nature Collection contains a variety of more trees to further augment your experience.
Warning: The map has over 570,000 trees by default. You will need the Trees Unlimited mod to place more trees and you need a computer that can handle this number of assets.

Recommended is also the use of a mod to unlock all possible tiles of the map as the game seems to be a bit wonky with handling trees towards the edge of the map. 81 Tiles is one the possibilities which I use. Unlocking all tiles of the map should fix the very unappealing tree placement edge that you will otherwise experience.
