The Godfather

Charles Wright became The Godfather in 1998, after previously portraying Papa Shango and Kama Mustafa.

Accompanied by the Ho Train, The Godfather became popular immediately. Before matches, The Godfather would offer the services of his hoes to his opponents if they would forfeit the match. In 1999, he defeated Goldust to win the Intercontinental Championship.

As the Attitude Era wound down, The Godfather lost a match to Right to Censor's Bull Buchanon and was forced to give up pimping to join the censorship stable. Wrestling as The Goodfather is a shirt and tie, The Godfather won the WWF Tag Team Championship alongside Buchanon.

The Godfather has been mostly retired since 2002, and he has appeared occasionally over the years in brief segments for WWE. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2016.
