Stan Hansen

Stan Hansen was more well-known in Japan than he was in the US, and he is recognized as one of, if not the most successful gaijin wrestlers ever to compete in Japan.

Hansen spent the bulk of his time in Japan wrestling for AJPW, although he did make several appearances for NJPW in the early 80's. Hansen fought IWGP Heavyweight Champion Vader in a cross-promotional contest in 1990, and the stiff, nasty match ended in a draw.

Hansen is a former NWA International Heavyweight Champion, 4-time PWF World Heavyweight Champion, and 4-time Triple Crown Heavyweight Champion. His feared lariat put away legendary opponents for years.

As a tag team wrestler, Hansen won titles with Terry Gordy, Bruider Brody, Ted DiBiase, Genichiro Tenryu, and more.
