Salty

This reskin is based on the diesel shunter that works at Brendam Docks with an 0-6-0 saddle tank called Porter. Salty was first introduced in Season 6, Episode 1 - Salty's Secret.

The character Salty is based on the British Rail Class 07, a diesel shunter that was introduced in the 1960s to replace the steam locomotives at Southampton Docks. The specific locomotives the 07's replaced were the USATC S100 class, and London, Brighton & South Coast Railway E2 class. Both of which were 0-6-0 tanks. The S100 was the basis for the character Rosie, while the E2's were the basis for Thomas himself.
