[Fighter Blueprint] ZM ZF-5 'Cyanea' Railgun FIghter

Branded and sold under the Zethina Manufacturing name, but assembled in the same factories as the Muthos Engineering Consortium's VF line of fighters, the ZF-5 'Cyanea' is a highly maneuverable single-seat fighter equipped with a large, nose-mounted railgun.

Capable of firing chaingun ammunition-sized slugs to speeds an order of magnitude greater than a conventional chaingun, the 'Cyanea' packs a punch that can easily sail straight through hull plating (and anything underneath), and is only stopped by advanced armor or powerful shields. The velocity of the projectile gives it good range and accuracy, though a somewhat low rate of fire (owing to the time necessary to recharge the firing capacitors between shots).

The engines on the 'Cyanea' are a unique design. Zethina Manufacturing representatives have stated that despite their dissimilar appearance, they are based on MEC VCOIL technology and are held to the same performance standards. Representatives have also denied rumors that the 'Cyanea' is based on an even more powerful MEC railgun fighter that has thus far been kept under wraps.

The ZF-5 'Cyanea' is exactly 200 blocks. It didn't seem right to do a build like the 'Pterostigma' Peripheral Hangar Bay and not provide any matching fighters for it. The fighter is named for Synoeca cyanea, a species of South American "warrior wasp" known for its incredibly painful sting.

Screenshots (besides the auto-generated preview image) show fighters at true scale - when you use this blueprint to produce fighters, that's the level of detail you can expect from the final product.

This ship is intended for use as a fighter blueprint, as it lacks the critical ship components necessary for player control.
