Freezeezy Peak

描述
Nestled in the far off corner of the Isle-o-Hags is a small mountain area known as Freezeezy Peak. First appearing in Banjo-Kazooie, it has now made its way to a Hat in Time! Explore this frosty frontier and help familiar faces in order to obtain the mythical Jiggies!

Solve puzzles, race bears, decorate christmas trees, and conquer platformering challenges in this faithful reimagining of this famous level from 1998s Banjo-Kazooie!

Notes
This level was made with single-player in mind, while Co-op won’t outright break the map. To get the true experience I would recommend going solo.

There are 3 Rift tokens and 14 Jiggies to find in this level!

This level is filled to the brim with custom assets, music, and animations so the first initial load will take a fair amount of time. All subsequent loads will be faster.

I hope you have fun, I spent a lot of time on the mod in order to make it as faithful and fun as I possibly could.

Also taking screenshots with the badge will break interior lighting!

Mumbo Token Locations

Having trouble finding all of the Mumbo Tokens? Fear not, this list is here to help!
  • Two are under Sir Slushes after they are defeated.
  • Two, one at each foot of the Snowman.
  • Behind the stack of presents near Bottles, in a corner.
  • Collected after taking off from the Flying Pad on the chimney in the village.
  • One in the large space of water near the path to the scarf.
  • Inside Boggy's igloo, behind the table.
  • Inside the hole of the snowman’s hat.

I was absolutely staggered by this mod. I didn't expect so much care and attention to detail. And I was completely blindsided by the addition of a boss complete with a Banjo-Tooie introduction scene! And that Furnace Fun segment was incredibly well crafted.

The only complaint I had is a bit of a typo on the last Furnace Fun question, "How many bears fit in there?" is the original question, the answer is 4, because 3 kids + boggy. But here, it's "How many kids fit in there?" and the answer was still 4. Which I assumed was a twist on the original question, but apparently not! Unless this is a super trick question that I misunderstood.

Aside from that, I've nothing but praise. Yes, the boss was brutal. I still enjoyed it. (Definitely made easier with the time stop hat)

If your goal with Bob was to design the least fun platforming boss imaginable you succeeded....and I say this as someone who enjoyed doing all the death wish bosses with 1 hit hero equipped

....other than that though this is pretty nice

That is completely fair. We need more Banjo Kazooie Hat in Time mod levels. There are two.. this and Spiral Mountain. I mean if you are hesitating, might I suggest Mad Monster Mansion (a good level and the best level in the original) or you could do Rusty Bucket Bay.. I actually really like Rusty Bucket Bay. I like it out of spite because everybody else found it so tough. Or the level that always makes me cry, Click Clock Wood... All of these levels are mood pieces that even if you recreated the level and had nothing, that would be a instant win. The fact this kind of thing is probably really hard would turn people away and I don't blame you if that is like a Herculean effort.

I'm going to be honest I'm not really thrilled with how twinklies turned out looking back on it. It was very jerry rigged together with as little scripting elements as possible. I'm happy it turned out functional at all. The difficulty is aboustely due to how it was rigged t ogether. If I were to do it again I'd definitely script it.

The twinklies challenge is way harder than the original game.. You have virtually no cool down and barely enough time.. they get eaten way too fast and sometimes before you are there fully. It's actually harder than the original game. The strategy that worked doesn't here... and it's just insanely hard to save them when they spawn two or so at once and the dudes just respawn too quickly. I have failed 3 times and it just feels like RNG and luck. I can't really continue. Good recreation but that was way harder than it needed to be

i was so scared of what the "price" was for taking the esier furnace fun that I just cheated instead

and I am not ashamed as that jiggy is bullshit please never lock half the stages behind a bullshit challenge again
