描述

From 2008, updated to work with the new gmod version with a bonus.

Dr. Kleiner just made a new invention. It's a storage device which can store objects in an alternative universe.
Now he can store all his lab equipment in the QSD (Quantum Storage Device) and have it in his pocket.

When the QSD is activated the device will emit cosmic radiation (that will harm you if you stand to close) and the device will start the charge up sequence. The QSD will after the charge up sequence open a portal to an alternative universe. The QSD were originally built for traveling between alternative universes but because of the radiation no one have managed to go through the portal withouth dying.

The QSD can be used for storing objects at a very small space.
The QSD can also be used for killing unwanted enemies. The device will not only kill them but also hide the corpses.

The portals have shown to be perfectly safe but the QSD has not.
Any damage made to the QSD may result in a rather unpleasant and unstable portal, the QSD will consume itself and all objects around it in a big area leaving nothing more than empty space.

INSTRUCTIONS

You will find the entity in the entities tab under the Fun + Game category.
Once it's spawned just press use on it to activate it and it will start sucking stuff in.
Press use on it again to make it pop out the stuff it sucked up.

GLaDOS managed to make a stable version of the QSD (bonus entity).

dude it does not work with mods (not super mods) and it does not work with living beings it just kills em

suddenly remembered this addon from way back, still works as perfectly as it did - I feel like there needs to be a box to tick saying 'I have read the description and tried restarting the game and removing all active addons and will attach any relevant console errors' before you can complain about an addon not working

If people think it's really broken I will have a look at fixing it even if it's old. Fixed for example RagMorph not too long ago.

Biggest problem for me is that I can't replicate most errors/bugs people call out. What happens if many people say something doesn't work when it actually does? I stop listening. Regardless, of course I want my addons to work even if they happen to be old now.

I will check this weekend if it works as I expect. If it doesn't I will update it and put it on github. People could submit their issues there and people can collaborate to develop it if they would want to.
