Little brother of the Hermes Drive, the mercury drive was notoriously used on the Lonestar's Marshalls and Magnums and other variants later in larger Lonestar's ships , This civilian version isnt as nervous as the original and its thurst power was toned down to be in compliance with Standart civilian regulations , unlike its older brother, the Mercury is a little heavier and bulkier and is reinforced by structural scaffolding to distribute shocks and mechanical strain across the entire structure, this was required due to its greater capacity to "brake" with its massive inertial dampeners allowing greater stability , however this make the engine require more power from the engineering core and thus this civilian version require a power surplus due to its increased demand in energy

the performances however allow any ships using theses engines to make sharper turns with minimal drifting and therefore allow a significant increase in trajectory control and overall ship agility.

The engine is powered by the same 1.37 GW stellarator fusion coil and hydrogel-graphene supercapacitors used by the hermes drive.
