Ark Questlines adds quest npc’s to any map!

How this works:
A single quest master is placed at a known location on the map. When you go to them they will provide you with a list of other quest givers that are looking for assistance along with a general location of the quest givers.
Quest givers come and go and the number that can be available at any given time is variable.

Quest givers will de-spawn two minutes after the quest has been turned in. This grace window is to allow other people to complete the quest as well.

All quests have a time limit. If you fail to turn in the quest within the allotted time quest giver will transition into the ‘quest finished stage’ and your quest status will be changed to failed.

Failing a quest will not prevent you from working on other quests or even repeating the quest you failed in the future.

Quest Master Locations Per Map:

These npc’s can be validated two different ways by the admin:
• Cheat setplayerpos x y z (use the cords listed above for your given map)
• Use the admin becon to teleport to the quest master or any other quest giver.

The quest beacon provides the following functionality:
• Teleport to any quest master or quest giver.
• Temporarily place additional quest masters or quest givers.

How to use the quest beacon:
The quest beacon is a placeable item in game. Once the item has been placed you will have 10 seconds to select one of the items from the radial menu. If you do not select an item within 10 seconds the beacon will automatically place a Quest Master and then self destruct.

Administrators can alter the maximum number of quest givers that can be on the map at one time and the number of Quest Masters and their locations.

If the map you are using isn’t listed above you will need to use the QuestMasterOverrideList to set the location of the first quest master. If you don’t they will spawn at 0,0,0 which generally speaking isn’t a good location on any map.

Current plans for improvement are:
• Improved hunting quests.
• Admin interface to alter/add quests.
• Add more quests including quest chains.
• Add new types of quests; TBD.
• Add unique content per DLC/Map.

This mod is clean and stackable and it does not require any other mods or DLC’s to run.

INI configuration options.
These configurations are 100% optional, you do not have to add them.
The examples bellow are intended to show you how to use the options. They do not represent default or recommended settings.
NumberOfQuestGivers controls how many quest givers are on the map at any given time. This number cannot exceed the number of available quests. If you enter a value that is too big the number quest givers placed will stop once their are no more quests to give out.

QuestMasterOverrideList takes an argument that represents the in-game coordinates you want the quest master to be placed at. X, Y, Z. For more than one Quest Master add additional sets of coordinates separated by a comma.

Thanks for giving us a try. Just an update This mod doesn't work without admin assist on AQ but still works fine if your running Pre-AQ Ark. Now that the dev kit for AQ is out an update is being worked on to resolve this.

I'm going to download the mod Just because Weehammy told me not to. >_< I'll also learn how to use it without joining the discord just for laughs. Playing old school Ark 310.117 and looking for mods that don't mess too much with the vanilla experience but add new things to do so thanks for this.

I will add with fairness that this mod is no longer being developed. Until we see what's going on with the new Ark we have no clear direction at this time.

You know it's interesting. You posted on the discord channel and the complained without waiting for a response.

You seem to have read 'something' of the chat history but you failed to read enough since the answer to you question was there.

But as to weather you would have gotten support or how good that support would have been you have no idea since you marched right off in a huff.

A pretty bad mod with some bad responses with different answers each time.

1. Coordinates to locations on each map that are unreachable
2. No update, love, care at all for over 5 years
3. A discord server that is borderline dead with a mod author that seems to not care about his mod

I would not install this mod as you will not get help from anyone about it. If you do you get tossed around in circles or borderline ignored.

Just play the steampunk QL mod or wait for a better mod to launch.

Did you do a wild dino wipe? That will break the mod. Stop your server, and delete the save file for this mod in the gamesaves folder.

First off thank you for making ark great again with something to do other than punch trees and tame Dino’s lol.

I went to the coords for the island map for the quest giver but no one was there.
Then I did gfi for the quest becon and I place the quest giver.
The menu worked fine and everything looked awesome but I went to two locations she gave me and saw nothing there.

Here’s my possible problem:
I’m on singleplayer
I have multiple mods
- Ark Eternal
- Primal Fear
- Ark Omega
Being the biggest mods.

Please help lol I love the potential for rpg in this mod. Thank you so much for your time and effort on this.

The quests do not take into consideration the players level. There can be some randomness to the rewards, but not always.

It sounds like you came across one of the rare quests with specialized rewards.

Is the rewards balanced with the level of the person who turned in the quest? I think this mod is very interresting and tested it on a level 150 survivor. I had to bring 25 fertilized eggs some even giga eggs and my rewards was 3 healing potions. Is it supposed to be like that? Or did I do something wrong

you can use it with any map. You have to use the ini settings to set the position of the questmaster.
