1. yes, this mod only replaces the chocobos you and your party ride.
2. no, unfortunately the ability to change color on the default chocobo is done through the use of shaders, which can't currently be modded.

Two questions:
1) Is this an overwrite for the base color Chocobo?
2) If so, does it prevent you from changing the colors of your Chocobos?
