Dessau, Germany

Dessau, the city in green located in Saxony Anhalt, Germany. Also known as Bauhaus City Dessau.


Founded in 1213 as far as we know. We had the 800th anniversary of Saxony Anhalt last year in Dessau (2012) and the 800th anniversary of Dessau this year (2013).

Famous people from Dessau are Leopold I. (known as The old Dessauer, Walter Gropius (well known architect, later moved to Boston Massachusetts), Hugo Junkers (Inventor/Designer, known for his famous aircraft Ju 52).


I've tríed to build as correct as possible with Ghost it! and the 8x8 template map.
But as you know there are not enough buildings to be more correct so there are some places which does not look correctly.
At least i've really tried my best with the streetmap, rivers, lakes.


Key Features:
- ~90-95% of Dessau is shown (Editor is a little bit to small)
- most outlying areas included
- used metrorails as train set, trainstation is invisible!!!
- empty area where our little airport should be
- original tram rails included, delete them if you don't like our original lines
- no line has been set, that's up to you to bring Dessau to it's Maximum
- removed park and wood pedestrian street without sidewalks cause they still get houses
