3D Tracking Solar Array

This is a "if you like this, you might like that" post and I hope aRPeaR doesn't mind. :)

After seeing this I created my own version of a tracking solar array. Thanks aRPeaR for the great idea and technical concept!

So, this is my interpretation; same general technique, different design:

i placed it and it didnt anchor proporly and it crashed my game because it started glitching out and flying around

The solar dish is rotated by hoverpads, each group of hoverpads has its own solar panel group positioned at a specific angle, 2 hoverpad groups are faced opposite of each other, so that they cancel each other out when they are both powered.

Looks like fantastic PN invention! aRPeaR, can You describe, how does it work? What is the sun tracking mechanism?

Sadly, mine got constructed upside-down, so tumbled off the hill I constructed it on and went "splash" into the antarctic ocean. Well more like "sp....la....aa...shhh" because of the lag

Wow, this works very well with 100% and long after sun goes down. Very very effective building.
