I am aware of build 42 releasing in the near future, and I am planning to update this and my other mods.

"Big Water Bottle, Canteen And A Makeshift Rain Collector for Project Zomboid by Revolution.”

Added a canteen and a bigger bottle to drink from and a makeshift rain collector.
More features coming soon!

Added:

Big Water Bottle
- Twice the size of a normal bottle.
- Increased rarity for proper balance.


Canteen
- Smaller than a bigger bottle.
- Can collect rainwater.
- Can purify water by cooking it.


Makeshift Rain Collector
- Made for collecting rainwater in early game.
- Unique and realistic recipe. (survivalist category)
- Has to be dropped to collect rainwater.
- Holds a realistic amount of water.
- Drain water to cook it.

Full Big Bottle =
Weight 1,6

Empty Big Bottle =
Wieght 0,2

Full Canteen =
Weight 1,4

Empty Canteen =
Weight 0,3

Empty Makeshift Rain Collector =
Weight 1.2

Full Makeshift Rain Collector =
Weight 5

Recipe for makeshift rain collector
  • Tree Branch = 4

  • Garbage bag Or Tarp

  • Ripped Sheets Or Dirty Ripped Sheets = 4


Things to mention
  • Canteens are uncommon to find (shouldn't be too rare).

  • Let me know if something is wrong.

@Archadies Leafwalker, it should not clash with other mods since this does not modify any game files. It only adds new one's. :D

I'm not sure if you are still keeping track of new messages here, but I have a question. Would this mod clash with any other mod that puts canteens and other bottles into the game? Please get back to me when you are able. Thank you. :steamhappy:

hey, yes the canteen can be directly cooked and its hard to give you a value for how much they hold since its not a single value but to give you an idea the big bottle hold twice the amount compared to a normal bottle and the canteen hold a bit more then the big bottle with less total weight but its a lot harder to find.

What are the actual values for how much the new containers hold? Also can the canteen be cooked directly or does the water have to be moved to another container?

I haven't patched the fuel in but everything else still works.. you should check it out. :D
