Black Chocobo

描述
This model swap doesn't use the Comrades chocobo model in order to avoid rigging issues. Instead, I edited the vanilla chocobo mesh and skinned it with the black chocobo texture. Slapped on the vanilla chocobo alphas, and it turned out pretty well to get a similar look.

Doesn't replace the chocobos at Wiz's.

Various changes to the vanilla model:
Wingspan increased
Crest lengthed
Feet made slightly thinner
Tail resized, lengthened and angled further downward

Other changes:
Recolored the texture on the saddle to better match the look

Known issues:
Clipping on the wings.

I'm wondering if I should do a version withou the saddle and reigns, but because of the animations, I think it might look weird. Would anyone prefer it?

@Drone .45 unfortunately, as far as i'm aware, the entire party utilizes the same chocobo model, so it seems impossible to give them their own individual chocobos.

So just to be clear, this replaces all chocobo's you and your party ride or only the one you are riding yourself? I really like the colors on this mod (more than the full balck version, but i dont want the whole party to ride one.. also did you manage to fix the wing clipping?

1. yes, this mod only replaces the chocobos you and your party ride.
2. no, unfortunately the ability to change color on the default chocobo is done through the use of shaders, which can't currently be modded.

2 questions before I get too ahead of myself...
1) Is this *only* a replacement for base color Chocobo?
2) Is it still possible to change colors with this mod installed?

Absolutely love this mod- this is the chocobo I wanted since playing on PS4. I think it works great with the saddle and the reins. Thanks!

i found the other mod to but cant find it any more so somewone has done it as whare it is idk anymore

Yeah, the other one seems to have been taken down or is at least not publically visible or something. I had it Favorited and when I tried to click to go to its page I got a "doesn't exist" type message.
