SFS Nakiri

A mid range scout corvette with good speed and maneuverability. Capable of landing a small expeditionary force onto planets/moons with the support of full manufacturing and medical facilities
The Nakiri also fulfills accommodation and sustenance requirements of a small task force.

Defensive systems include:
4x Automated Sentry guns
6x Automated Projectile weapon arrays.

Sentry mode:
When primary weapons systems are disabled, Sentry mode will enable all 4 sentry guns and the 2 static cannon turrets for defense against small targets and/or aggressive fauna.

Power Save:
Activate when docked or landed, this mode powers off all thrusters, RCS's and manufacturing systems while keeping defensive systems active. This allows the ship to conserve fuel when not on the move.

Landing Lights:
An array of spotlights will illuminate the landing area for controlled and smooth landings on clear ground.

Signal logic & delayed spotlights:
Open the main hangar doors and a series of spotlights will illuminate the entrance/exit.

Thruster maintenance access:
Some thrusters are protected behind shutter doors, open them to access for routine maintenance.

Secure Core:
A hidden room on the ship can grant access to the vessels core and other sensitive systems.

Lightweight frame:
The ship is built from standard steel construction with interior spaces built using lightweight plastics. This reduces the need for expensive heavy thruster engines and high fuel usage. The light construction means you get many more light years for you buck.
