Mosaic-Class Star Destroyer

The Mosaic-Class Star Destroyer is a prototype carrier/destroyer. The design was created to produce a more economical and versatile Capital Ship to navigate the unknown regions.

The first feature to note would be the superior maneuvering and speed compared to most other star destroyers. The Mosaic has it's roots in the Venator-class design while borrowing several features from the Procursator-class resulting in a medium carrier / heavy cruiser hybrid. It was specifically made for extended patrols within the Empire of the Hand.

The Mosaic was named after the common art form as many pieces are used to assemble a larger, more detailed picture. As a carrier / destroyer, it is no fragile liability.
It was given an adequate point-defence system, and a turret layout resembling a Procusator to provide a wide fire arc. It also has 10 torpedo launchers along the side trenches.

Thirdly, it has a large hangar bay for Imperial fighters, bombers, and ground forces.
