@Baryonyx: his son was <11, i think. they're for "at a glance" fast play. not super detailed (in a Bio-One way) or overly complex. just like i said, "extensive". next time i'm around a scanner... their 'big thing' back in the day was their speed of play, and that they didn't rely on the modifiers system that everybody else (Featherstone, etc) was using at the time.

I would also love to have a read through these rules, just to see what I can adapt for my own system... If you describe it as so detailed, that makes me even more interested. :steammocking:

@Technokrat[GER]: ouch. i read that it had been republished, with a different tank on the cover. but that's robbery. Though they're simple and enjoyable rules, the problem is they're also "extensive". there's a rule for doing everything conceivable. which is why they take up 1/3 of the book. some parts are good (armour value tables), others have aged more than a little (clunky grid based smallarms mechanism). his writing style is nice, and it's a part of wargaming history. but i wouldn't pay 60 bucks myself.

as this is a thoughtful small scale action, not wall to wall tanks. i'd hoped it would stand up on it's own. cheers for checking it out.

I would really love to get my hands on the rulebook for this old gem, but 60 bucks on Amazon is quite a lot. Nevertheless thank you so much for bringing old but gold games onto the platform. Really appreciate it!

@Baryonyx: Hi Bary. The rules are 1/3 of the "warboard" book. I guessed people without the book, would choose to use other, more modern rulesets. Which is fine (also why i did not include the vehicle tables and armour values).

I had a look at eBay while i was making this. You can get a mountain of plastic Airfix figures for 99 English pence. But the boxes are going for 20+ pounds. Bizarre. glad you enjoyed the nostalgia of it, anyway. thanks for checking it out.

Are the rules included? I can not find them.

Those model boxes are really cute. Kinda makes me want to scan all the ones I still have...
