To be honest, the truck is a cartoon on the wheels.

@bear artorius . The m35 had many variants. The 5th wheel variant is called a M275A2 which from my understanding was slightly underpowered for its use stock . The m35 A3 (just a refurbishment of the A2) had the cat engine and allison transmission come with it stock including the C.T.I.S (central tire inflation system) which allowed the tires to be inflated/deflated on the go depending on what surface you was on .

I do hope the dev renames it to the proper name as 11,332 people think its a truck made by gmc ...

great all round truck goes 5th gear through mud can do two tactical barrel rolls and only takes one damage i know it will climb mountains and back down very easy as long it was a skilled driver and a really good scout as well so for me 5/5 and very realistic having a transmission with 5 speed forward or up if you prefer

this is my favorite truck in real life

@123, also, I know a few people who purchased the M35 as surplus and quickly modified them with 5th-wheel hitches for use on farms, logging or construction use. My uncle had one that was modified with a 5th-wheel hitch, and the 10-speed transmission and Caterpillar engine from an old dump-truck they had that had rolled wreaking the cab and dump box. But the engine and trans were still good. So they dropped them into the M35 and changed the skinny military tires to the super-single flotation tires from cement trucks.(just like the one here has) The thing looked positively beastly. And it's only job was to haul the bulldozer to jobs and sometimes help pull out other trucks on various job sites. the massive winch the truck came with worked pretty good too. He eventually sold it when he downsized his business.

@123, you are mostly correct, the M35 was built by Kaiser or REO or Studebaker or AM General (GMC's military branch), or Kia. :) I used to own an M35A2. I loved it. When I sold it, we didn't have ramps to get it on the semi that was hauling it. So we built a dirt mound about 3/4 of the height of the flatbed trailer using a skid steer, backed the trailer up to the mound (thats when we realized we were 14" too short) but drove the truck up the mound and just climbed onto the trailer. It was awesome.
We did however, install a 5th-wheel hitch and a Gooseneck hitch for use around the farm. We made the metal bed removable with just 8 bolts and had a 6-bolt mount for either the 5th-wheel or goosneck hitches. 90% of the time, it had the gooseneck installed because we had a super-heavy duty gooseneck trailer we used to haul haylage bales.

has this mod been updated yet with a trailer hitch?

Just a fyi , GMC never made a m35a2 or a m35a3 . GMC only made the forerunner of it known as a CCKW which looks nothing like a m35a3 or the a2

@Ryan0537 , i know its a game but for realistics sake the a3 never had a 5th wheel or normal trailer hitch (just a pintle hitch) unless it was custom made as the 5 tons often did the job for hauling 5th wheel trailers as they had slightly better engines.

The m35a2 had some variants with a 5th wheel hitch but they were uncommon from what i have seen as their hauling capacity was very low in comparison to 5tons.
