Better Names – Characters, Factions & Settlements

描述
As of September 6, this mod now affects the names of characters, factions, settlements and provinces.

This is just a little mod that adjusts the names of factions and characters in order to provide a more consistent and immersive experience. The most notable change is the replacement of 'th' with 'þ' or 'ð' where appropriate, as well as the usage of 'Æ' in situations where 'AE' would be found. Note that it does not affect any province or settlement names.

Is there a way to change a generals name on your own? Can someone make a mod were you can change the name on your own?

Out of curiousity would it be possible to change the names of the Kingdom Factions? Something REALLY immersion breaking about "Irish Vikings"

It would certainly be possible, but the name is historically recorded both as Guðfriðr and Guðrøðr and is only variant spellings of the same name so such a change would be quite unnecessary.

Maybe you could change Gudfridr's name to Guthred ( Guðrøðr )?

@spacemarx @flaminius I couldn't say if it is possible to add more names, but one thing to keep in mind is that there weren't all that many names to go around.

@Aklis Really liking this mod! Though just as Flamininus has suggested, I'm wondering if it is possible to increase the number of possible character names. By the time I'm down to grand kids, I'm like an old man going "which one is he again?"

I tried to figure out how to make the mod myself but I couldn't quite get my head around it. Cheers!
