Chainmail (1970)

Background: A Norman ship, with considerable treasure and the betrothed of Sir Hugh Fitz-William onboard, is discovered by two Viking longships. In the ensuing pursuit they managed to stay ahead until sunset, and with darkness closing fast around them, eventually lost sight of the pagans.

However, just as the Normans were about to enter the estuary of the Humbold river, a few short miles downstream from Sir Hugh’s keep, disaster struck. The first blast of a storm drove their vessel aground, and by the time everyone was safely ashore, dawn was breaking. To make matters worse, viking sails are now visible on the horizon. Nothing remains but to take shelter inside the palisaded lookout, while one of the guards rides to the Keep to bring Knights and villagers to the rescue!
