Earthquake

John Tenta, known as Earthquake among other names, transitioned from sumo wrestling to professional wrestling in the late 80's and made his way to WWF in 1989 after a brief run with AJPW.

Earthquake had several memorable feuds in the WWF, including ones with Hulk Hogan and Jake "The Snake" Roberts. Earthquake infamously squashed Roberts' snake Damien with an Earthquake Splash in 1991.

Alongside Typhoon, Earthquake was one half of The Natural Disasters, a team that won the WWF Tag Team titles in 1992.

After leaving the WWF in 1994, Tenta signed with WCW and appeared as Avalanche, The Shark, and later using is real name. He returned to the WWF in 1998 as Golga, a member of The Oddities.
