Welcome Traveler,

As has become possibly too common in your adventurer's life, you awake in a strange place. All drunks-I mean adventurers go through this from time to time, right? Maybe stop downing unidentified potions...Anyway, you feel you have been searching for this place although you don't know what it is. It is a sign of good things to come! A powerful force has brought you here...

Naga's Abyss is an expansive, hand-crafted custom level featuring multiple pathways, puzzles and secrets including 4 Secret Shrines! Instead of randomly interlinked small rooms I wanted to create a single sprawling adventure with several ways to play through. It uses near-seamless Half-Life style transitions to keep you immersed in the action. You'll notice only a small pause in your view.

This mod has taken almost a year to build and is based on a dungeon designed for our Pathfinder Skulls and Shackles campaign!

UPDATE December 2019: Changed some text and dialogue to better guide the player on what to do next! Also created a Steam Guide for anyone wanting help or to experience all the mod has to offer!

To Play:

-Click the green Subscribe button above
-Start Delver and click on the Mods button at the main menu
-If you have subscribed to multiple mods they will all be listed here
-Make sure only Naga's Abyss is checked
-Restart Delver and you should be greeted by a custom title screen and music. All is well!
-You can simply deselect the mod from the Mods menu in Delver, then restart Delver to turn off the mod

PLEASE NOTE:

-This mod was only play-tested with the graphics options in Delver set to max. It may not matter but I can't guarantee correct visual operation of the mod with any other settings.

-This mod was not designed with other mods in mind. Some may work but may give the player an unintended advantage/disadvantage. If you wish to check possible compatibility, this mod modifies the following stock Delver files in addition to bypassing all randomly generated level segments:

-data/monsters.dat
-data/game.dat
-generator/startcamp/section.dat
-levels/death-screen-splash.bin
-levels/first-death-screen-splash.bin
-levels/intro-void.bin
-levels/outdoor-splash.bin
-levels/win-screen-splash.bin
-audio/music/campfire-guitar.mp3
-audio/music/title.mp3
-audio/music/win.mp3
-audio/music/gameover.mp3

Known Issues:

-During a transition to one of the Secret Shrines, the player may become stuck in the wall. Simply walk toward the center of the tile to become unstuck and proceed onward!
-Name of level Lost Maze misaligned when viewing in-game map

Fun Fact:

-There are absolutely no Nagas in this entire mod

Future Plans:

-Few new textures
-New monster - The Mephit
-In-game tome listing all secrets (Find/Buy)
-As many particle effects as possible
-All suggestions welcome!

Hey all make sure to check out the Steam Guide I just finished for the mod! It should help with anything you are stuck on and also is a great way to see all the secrets without having to find them yourself!

@Badman Woops lol, I just thought the beginning was just especially hard, I quit every time I died thinking it was the end, it took me like 30 mins to finally clear out the enemies. Guess its off the cliff for me lol.

@ECH0 Hey thanks for playing! If you mean at the very beginning on the bridge you are simply supposed to be killed by the bunch of enemies and it will continue on like regular Delver :steamhappy:

I seem to be stuck at the beginning. I broke through the locked door, but there's nothing behind it.

@Magic Push Thanks for letting me know about that area! I found exactly where you got stuck and fixed it. Sorry for not catching that! I hope you can play through the mod now and enjoy it!

While trying top find a way through the waterfall I was lurking in trees near the mountain I came from. I stuck. I'm in a position between the forest and the mountain. The "metal" tree won't let me out. No other way to leave. No weapons to kill myself.

Fortunatelly I've exited the game by killng the process (not via the game menu) so my progress wasn't saved. Or I would need to erase my save...

Please ensure the mountain nearby place will not block any player.
