This port of Rydygier's Hetman War Stories is a straight port of the original mission. Nothing has been added but it does work. A recommended mod for the factions you may want is Community Factions Project https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1369691841

HWS is a very easy to use generator of dynamic, interesting battles conducted by HETMAN commanding AI. Each unique battle experience is powered by very complex scripting and is created with a few mouse clicks.

Optionally the player may customize the gameplay by choosing the fighting factions, scale of the battle, daytime, weather, forces ratio, persistency of the result (campaign mode, where results of past battles slightly affect every next battle) etc. Additional text field allows advanced users and Hetman veterans to apply also more complex setup code or even regular script, that will be executed at init.

The resulting battle may vary greatly each time, nothing is guaranteed. You're only a cog in the war machine controlled by HETMAN, so do not expect any special treatment. The battle does not revolve around the player in any way. You may find yourself in the middle of fierce firefight or you may be kept as reserve and have to wait a long time before you see any action. You may die in the first few minutes or survive to the end without firing a single shot. Just do your part or act on your own. Whatever you do, try to keep your leader happy.

HWS will also utilize units from custom addons when mods are loaded, if the addons have properly configured groups.

Is there anyway we can play this on a dedicated server? I really want to play hetman on one but its just impossible to get it to work or find anyone who has?

I use CUP, Asian Factions for CUP, African Factions for CUP and Community Factions Project which tend to work better. Alternatively you can create your own factions using Drongos Config Generator to create your own faction mod. If you have APEX, the Syndikat faction make a good low level opposition force.

When the scenario stops loading, it tends to be because one or more of the factions you are trying to use doesn't have a full config and the scripts are still trying to load the faction anyway. It just becomes a case of trial and error till you find what works.

Hello Lee, Yes , I tried OPFORCE, RHS , CUP etc .. All of them freze in the loading screen.

Which one do you use if I may ask please ?

To use modded factions, start the game with the mods you want to use and then select the side you want to play as on the left side of the settings screen. e.g. WEST. The box below is Faction A. There should be a drop down menu listing all the different factions under West. Select the one you want to use. If you select Multi, you can select multiple factions from the same list. Just be sure to deselect NATO otherwise NATO units will be intermingled with your selected factions.

Be aware that not all factions will work and some will work partially depending how the config of the factions has been carried out. e.g. you may have only infantry because no config was written for motorised, mechanised or armoured infantry units.

Hi Alky, I tried to use CUP , RHS and etc .. Not sure how to play with this factions in the screenshot.

Cannavaro - check that you are using the correct Cup Core and Cup Maps as detailed to the right in the Required Items. Try without mods too in case it is being caused by a mod. Lastly, verify your game files through Steam. The recent update may not have downloaded and installed correctly.

I have just loaded and tried this Steam version of the mission, with only the required items, and the map and mission loaded and worked as normal.

hey when i want to load the map i get a crash with "cannot load world" error...
how to fix this?
