[Fighter Blueprint] Taiidan Interceptor (Elite Guard Colors) [Homeworld]

Codenamed "Triikor" by the Kushan after a large species of predatory cat on Kharak, this interceptor design was the primary superiority fighter of the Taiidan Empire before and during the Homeworld War, and remained a weapon of choice for both factions of the Taiidan afterwards. The Triikor is known for its unusual asymmetric silhouette, owing to its laterally-mounted gun. While the offset center of gravity can make the ship difficult to fly, in the hands of a skilled pilot, the Triikor is capable of some unique maneuvers that can give it an edge in fighter-to-fighter combat. It matches up evenly with the Kushan "Blade" interceptor developed during the Homeworld War.

This version of the Taiidan interceptor bears the colors of the Taiidan Elite Guard, as used during the Homeworld War. The Elite Guard were the personal fleet of the Taiidan Emperor and were also responsible for most of the defenses around Hiigara. While most of the Elite Guard were fanatically loyal to the Emperor, a group of defectors, led by Group Captain Elson, played an important role in helping the Mothership fleet penetrate Hiigara's defenses and destroy the Emperor's personal flagship.

I realized, months after building this, that I had forgotten to do an Elite Guard color scheme for this fighter, so I decided to finally rectify that.

Screenshots (besides the auto-generated preview image) show fighters at true scale - when you use this blueprint to produce fighters, that's the level of detail you can expect from the final product.

This ship is intended for use as a fighter blueprint, as it lacks the critical ship components necessary for player control.
