The next comment will be either: 1. Awesome, I made it. 2. Bastard, i'm coming for you!
Makes a good chat-up story for you. "Hey, sorry i'm a bit distracted/tired, but i'm working on some designs to help an army veteran recover from a neurological injury." Then you 'look away' with just a hint of sadness in your eyes - split second, then come back with a small smile. Name your first man-child after me.
At this point I still haven't carried any logs, but i'll be continuing my adventures later today.
Since this is the first map I have explored it is difficult to compare it to others. However, this map looks professional to me. Nothing that looks unreal - you know what I mean. It certainly looks like places I have walked through or camped in.
I'll sent a link to my father...he was the one who first told me about the game.
CAPSULE REVIEW: I love it so far. Stunning looking and even a beginner, like me, has not been in too much trouble. Yet.
Last night I left the starting point and followed the 'road' (I use the term under duress) onto, and around, the lake. I was a paratrooper when I was 21 and they wouldn't have sent us over some of those trails...human rights and all that. I did open the map by reaching two of the saw-mills. No damage to my truck either. I started to follow a track around the bottom of the lake, but I had to save it there...I had a movie date!
The terrain is stunning if a bit lethal. I had to use the winch twice, but I realised I hadn't engaged the differential. Told you I was a noob.
This is the first downloaded map I have really 'played'. It looks easy going, to me, but once you overshoot the first couple of turns you start to realise that if the easy stuff isn't then what will the hard stuff be like?
