Full rebuild of my one true spatial love in current gen glory!

International Space Station 2018

The International Space Station (ISS) is a space station, or a habitable artificial satellite, in low Earth orbit. Its first component launched into orbit in 1998, the last pressurised module was fitted in 2011, and the station is expected to operate until 2028. Development and assembly of the station continues, with components scheduled for launch in 2018 and 2019. The ISS is the largest human-made body in low Earth orbit and can often be seen with the naked eye from Earth. The ISS consists of pressurised modules, external trusses, solar arrays, and other components.

Not sure what brainfart scale I used, but this was about as small as I could make it out of large blocks... the real deal is about half the size of this.

Features
  • Solar tracking and rotating photovoltaics
  • Airtight construction with semiautomatic airlock
  • Full ISS 2018 configuration (find a module missing? Let me know!)
  • Detailed Interior and exterior
  • Cameras for planetary observation

Guide:
The 2018 ISS SE model has all of its outer doors shut down to prevent accidental atmosphere vent. Use the Guest airlock system located underneath the starboard truss assembly to exit and enter like the actual astronauts do.
Solar panels should be tracking automatically, but in case of script fixing, the programmable block can be found in the JEM module at the front.
The station WILL NOT have enough thrust to maintain a low planet orbit. 0G required or it will come crashing down like in Gravity, though if you wanna channel your inner Sandra Bullock, by all means go on ahead :)

Disclaimer:
Priority was given to looks instead of functionality. While I was sure to include numerous things like airtightness, solar tracking for panels, full maneuvering capability, the station is not made out to be the most effective use of space in SE... No conveyors go from module to module, however most are accessible from the inside should you want to use them manually (ice storage for O2 generation for example). If you want it to be 100% survival ready and efficient, feel free to modify the build to support it.

Also due to my inability to get Dextre and Canadarm to look even half acceptable or realistic, they've been left out for the time being. Keen needs to add more NASA friendly blocks

Feedback is greatly appreciated, and I'm always happy to hear what you think could be improved!

But why not low orbit?

This station is meant for in game zero G. Read the description ;)

So the ISS won't stay up in low orbit. Since it's a low orbit station. It won't say up. Do i need to put it in high orbit or something?

By all means go ahead

Hey OctoMoose, I am currently doing a SpaceX Cargo Dragon workshop build. Can I use your ISS station showing the Dragon Docking to it? I will make sure to credit you

Just tested it and it should work right after pasting automatically. Make sure your world has scripts enabled as the feature uses Isy's solar tracking script

Hi OctoMoose I like the ISS that you made an I'm having a hard time getting it to move to catch the sun what am I doing wrong.. An if you want could you accept the Friend request I have sent you so we can do this in PM... Thank's keep up the good work
