描述

----Introducing, Tamable Defense Units!----

Currently i will not be updating this mod anymore.

You may know that you can actually forcetame the Overseer minions, and mess around with them, but they aren't really working properly. But this mod now adds in a Tameable version that spawns in the wild! And most of it's issues fixed! (Like the ball mode timer)

Note: This is meant to be balanced for vanilla, if you want to use it for modded, you're gonna have to use stat multipliers on your server.

----More about the mod:

The Defense Units can breed and have babies, along with mutations on it's metal shell.

They have stun attacks, similar to the Eel, so they may be slow, but pretty dangerous upclose.

Their ballform provides fast mobility, along with being able to jump very high.

These creatures would make excellent scout, or infantry creatures for large battles.

----Attacks and Abilites:

-Left Click: Does a quick stab with either it's left or right arm, which stuns enemies.

-Right Click: Performes a powerful slam, causes a bit more damage than left click, and stuns enemies.

-C button: Enters ballform, which is considerably fast, and effective at moving around.

Defense Units can be obtained by summoning them with a new item called "Summon Defense Unit", which is unlocked at lvl 100. They require an Artifact, Black Pearls, Metal, and Organic Polymer to craft. Once you press E on the item, it will spawn a Defense Unit at a random level, depending on the difficulty setting. Note, it spawns wild, so you're gonna have to knock it out.

And if you want them to spawn in the wild, in the discussions @Ruko has posted lines of commands, place those in your Game.INI, and Defense Units will start to spawn in the Grasslands and Snowarea on normal maps, Canyons on Scorched Earth, and in the Bioluminescent area on Aberration.

You tame them by knocking them out, and feeding them meat. Their prefered kibble is Spinosaurus.

love your mods... would be awesome if u could do a mod that let's osd's happen on the other maps ^^ (like the mods which let extinction animals spwn on other maps) dunno how doable that is tho

since extinction brought about the concept of tek creature crafting with the enforcers and the scouts, any chance you could work that system into this mod? it would make playing on extinction a bit more interesting if we could craft the defense unit as well.

if you do this, i highly recommend making sure they keep their damage bonus against corrupted creatures, as that would keep this mod in line with regular defense units.

Hey Trollphan, hell of an idea man. Two questions, what is the difference between tametankvanilla, AB, and SE? I am going to try and alter this a bit on my server to better fit what I'm doing. I'll lower the level of the engram. Would I need to do all three or just vanilla? My server starts on the Island but progresses all the way through the game (assuming the players don't die lol)

Second question, To which God must I pray, sacrifice must I make in your name, or the amount of groveling in your magnificence to convice you to create a similar mod for the attack drones? =)
