Thrill (CSGO)

CSGO IS NOT REQUIRED but you'll need to download the Models Pack if you don't have it mounted in your Garry's Mod! Just click to subscribe to this addon, it'll ask you to subscribe to the models pack. If you have CSGO mounted, no need to subscribe to the models pack!

TURN HDR ON! This map is only compatible with HDR, not Bloom or LDR. Change it in the Video Settings (Advanced - High Dynamic Range - Full)!

If you experience other visual glitches the first time, try restarting the game!


INTERNAL NAME: GM_CSGOTHRILL


This is a port of the CSGO Bomb map, de_thrill, which was made by Squad, Yanzl and Bubkez for the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive workshop, and I thank them for letting me port this great map with their VMF!

Thrill is set in a brand-new amusement park in the German countryside, called Wundergarten. The park has many attractions, including a fake space-themed facility for the "Event Horizon" rollercoaster, a medieval-themed castle and other fun places, a restaurant with terrace near an artificial lake in a more exotic style, and more. The map also contains a train station, a souvenir shop, and many maintenance tunnels and back areas.

I've adapted the map to GMod, which means the following:

- Fixed and added physical props all over the map
- Removed all traces of police/terrorist conflict
- Fine-tuned lighting and reflections for greater visuals
- Removed props and barriers obviously meant for multiplayer balance
- Made several doors openable
- Opened access to many previously inaccessible or unreachable areas

Features:

- HDR-only compatible
- Working soundscapes for a great sound atmosphere, identical to CSGO
- Physical props all over the map
- Most doors can be used
- Navigation mesh included
- Fully AI noded
- Color correction included (use mat_colorcorrection 0 in console to turn off)
- Working cubemaps
- Improved shadows
- Optimized
- The easter egg is still present and fully working!


Special thanks to HAVOK for making his Source compilers[forum.facepunch.com] that push well beyond normal Hammer limits, this map and many others wouldn't have been possible without them!
