v0.5 - BUTTER AND BANDITS! - Now Available!
Armies eat a lot. A LOT. But they don't need babysitting while in the field. Now your soldiers will be issued their 'rations' once a day and can eat when they see fit. Food is also a bit denser, thanks to new recipes learned by the camp cook. You should notice that food goes a bit further. There are around 15 foods common to Calradia, but even a 'half-stocked' inventory should feed a sizeable army! Your troops will need this extra energy, however, as the bandits are quite angry about their empty bellies...

Word has spread that 'bandit' party sizes have doubled! Or, at the very least, they are now opening their doors to new recruits, with a new maximum party size double their original...

Tournaments are becoming more popular! Even with your outrageous betting schemes, Jarls and rulers are noticing the extra Denars that flow in during tournament time. As a result, the maximum number of tournaments held at any time has been slightly increased!


***Increasing Battle Size***
Still seeing the same size battles with an army 10x the size? Fear not! Warband uses an in-game slider in your options menu to determine how many units to let on the field at a time. This helps prevent slowdowns on weaker hardware. For most of us, this is an unncessary limitation and a simple edit can make this game much more EPIC.
Note: This file/value/setting is 'per-user', meaning nothing I do with a mod will affect that. This edit is up to you! Make a backup, mistakes happen!

> Open 'Documents' > Mount&Blade Warband
> Right-click 'rgl_config.txt', select COPY
> Right-click inside your folder, select PASTE
> 'rgl_config - Copy.txt' is now your backup file
> Open 'rgl_config.txt'
> Press 'Ctrl+F', search for battle
> You should find the line "battle_size = 1.0000"
> Adjust the value to your liking, this value is a multiplier, so 0.5000 would allow half as many troops into battle at a time, where 2.0000 would allow twice as many troops onto the field. I currently have mine set to 2.5000 which results in ~300 troops. With no fps drop on my current machine, this value could be higher.

***Be warned, while my desktop and laptop are getting bored with such low numbers, my friends heavy rig with a beautiful 1080 has framerate issues at 1.000 ..... Use at your own (small) risk, and UPDATE YOUR DRIVERS! ***

This is a cleaned up version of a mod that I have been working on (slowly) over the past year. Any and all feedback is appreciated. Just because something works for/makes sense to me, doesn't mean that's the best option.


Some of the more notable changes

> Max possible mercenaries available in tavern increased to 25

> Increased all skill max level to 15 (results may vary)

> Each unit of food can feed ‘100’ troops

> ‘Right to Rule’ rewards increased

> Tournament betting amounts increased

> Tournament rewards increased

> Arena Melee has better/earlier payouts

> Battles give small amount of extra XP

> Battles give 5x (500%) the normal amount of gold (for your armies)

> Active troops are paid more (good soldiers are worth the coin)

> Garrisoned troops are paid less (lazy homebodies)

> Party Size increased 3-5x (with 3 leadership, my starting limit was 400 troops)

> Can recruit an extra troop for every point of renown

> Increased max number of troops recruitable from towns

> Max troops from 'large' recruitment now ‘local reputation plus 25’

> Chance of recruiting higher tier troop increased to 30%

> Food gives 3x the normal amount of Morale

> Battle continuation! The fight's not over till the last warrior falls!

> Bandit party sizes doubled

> Tournament frequency increased
