Arma 3 once was supposed to be about aliens invading earth. Contact is a conceptual demo exploring what such a setting could look and play like. The demo showcases alien ships with working AI integration : players and NPCs alike can interact with it and try to bring it down. The alien ship will try to defend itself and/or attack any human being.

Mission makers can spawn any number of alien ships, order them to move or patrol etc.
Alien ships will launch semi-autnomous weapons against any detected threat.
Autonomous alien weapons can be shot down before they hit their target.
AI units will engage the alien ship.
The mission allows you to play as different units, use the team switch menu : you can choose to observe from afar or take part in the fight.


This is an initial concept and very much WIP. Although the demo is released as single player, it should be MP-compatible. A lot of tweaks and optimizations remain to be done, I also intend to add more features, improve some aspects such as the audio FX and more. Currently the demo should offer decent fun for vehicle-based combats, the next features will probably focus on infantry gameplay.
