✨Better Terrain Pictures was updated for 1.35.x!



This mod certainly is not something you would expect to see in the EU4 Steam Workshop. After all, why bother changing something that has next to no impact on the gameplay?

I never was really keen on the graphics of the game, even though gameplay is the main thing EU4 has to offer. And so, to make my experience a little bit fancier, I have decided to change terrain UI pictures.





Alongside new terrain pictures, this mod features:
  • New images representing ages in the ages interface,
  • New loading screens (1-6).

This mod should be perfectly compatible with anything you would play it with. It may even be used with mods that add new terrain types - the graphics simply will apply only to those which appear in the vanila.

@BearHasLanded Sorry for the late response, you can remove these images in the mod file. Go to steam\steamapps\workshop\content\236850\1417122689 folder, find the age pictures and delete them.

Could you possibly make a version of this without the new age pictures please, they conflict with a UI mod that I'm using and while I love your terrain images the age screen is so jarring that I have to turn them off :(

@ 蓝点马鲛 Not at this moment, though you can delete them yourself from this mod's downloaded file.

Hi, would you like to make a version without the age pictures? Those pics conflict with the age reformed mod.

@dirk_Gently_1972 only compression option has changed, Can't say off the top of my head which one it was, though the correct option is chosen by paint.net when you save a modified eu4 .dds file.

So what settings should be used for .dds files now, starting from 1.35 update? Compressed or uncompressed? Mip maps or no mip maps?

@Zemurin Thanks for the fix! I'm perfectly fine with it being around, at least until I update BTP myself.
