Apparently MOD JAM for LWOTC is changing the ablative values for this mod's shields to 0, to make it work like the Shield Rework Mod.
If you want your shields to provide Ablative HP again, do this (bear in mind this is how I did it, I know there are other ways to access these configs I can't be bothered to find out how, lol):
1. Open the XCOM2 Alternative Mod Launcher
2. Select your Mod Jam for Long War of the Chosen Mod
3. Click on the "Config" tab
4. On the .ini dropdown, search for the "Config/Ballistic Shields/XComShields.ini" file
5. Lines 16-22 should have the SHIELD_POINTS values for all shields set to 0, as per the intended mod jam effect; modify this as you will (tip: original shield values were 6/10/14 for normal shields, 10/15/20 for SPARK shields)
6. Click on Save
7. Enjoy!
Hope this helps!
Specialists still think they can hack at any range when equipped with a WOTC ballistic shield, this leads to an immediate crash to desktop as the game overloads on the logic and thinking simply not being there for a non-existent GREMLIN unit.
Any mods that address this issue for WOTC in the meantime?
