Northrop P-61 Black Widow

The Northrop P-61 Black Widow was designed to be a night fighter, entering service 1943. It incorporated a twin boom design with a remote turret mounted on the center fuselage. It could also perform as a heady fighter. 4 hardpoints on its wings could carry bombs or extra fuel. Over 700 Black Widows were built, but only 4 are known to exist today, none of which are in flying condition.
