And although I didn't think to link it to cold waves, it was a map with frequent and harsh cold waves and meteors. Sometimes they overlap which affects how and when I use the lasers.
So it's possible this problem was always there and the mod didn't help with what I installed it for. Couldn't have helped with it in fact, but maybe served to highlight the underlying cause.
We'll see if your changes help. I also figured out a workaround, which is to shut off the frozen building until after it has thawed out.
If that occurs, drones will never perform maintenance and cannot be directed to service the building. The building must be demolished and rebuilt.
I *think* the sequence of events that can cause this is:
1) building becomes frozen during cold wave.
2) Maintenance is requested (either through UI or automatically)
3) Cold Wave ends and building thaws before maintenance is performed.
Typically this happens to lasers that I tried to repair during cold + meteor and they freeze before being fixed. Or to mines that I requested maintenance to, they break down and freeze then thaw before a drone can get to them. I wonder if this could happen in stock without this mod. Harder to test for that but could indicate an underlying stock problem
