After so much you ask, although not exactly what you wanted, I bring you the FN SCAR-L Tan Version for the MK18.

I wonder if the person complaining about smoothing errors years ago knew that the lower receiver of the SCAR-L is composite, not metallic like the upper... so the matte texture and wear marks all sort of make sense and look correct.

Years later, this is still one of the coolest MK18 or M16A4 (depending on your version) replacements.
