Akira Taue

Akira Taue was one of the greatest Japanese wrestlers of his generation and had multiple classic matches with rivals such as Mitsuharu Misawa, sometimes with partner Toshiaki Kawada.

Taue wrestled for AJPW for over a decade before moving on to Pro Wrestling NOAH. After the death of Misawa, Taue took over as NOAH President, a role in which he served until 2016. He retired from the ring in 2013.
