Gear Tool

A tool for creating a gear ratio between two props. Useful for prop engines and contraptions.

Simply click on the first prop, then the second prop to create the gear ratio.

This tool does not create a fixed constraint, so the props are free to move around however they like.

Gear ratio: The ratio between the first and second gear, e.g. with a gear ratio of 2, the first prop will have to rotate twice to make the second prop rotate once.

Damping: Used to set the amount of force applied to the props. Larger props require less damping, and smaller props require more. If your props jitter or start rotating by themselves, they don't have enough damping applied.

Orientation: This can be either Up, Forward or Right. This is dependent on how the prop's creator made their props. SProps require Right orientation, and PHX props require Up orientation for example. When you look at a prop, the axes are displayed to help you choose the correct orientation.
