Just over two generations ago, a group of nobodies from the UC Traders Guild WHO were fed up with high taxes and the desert, decided to do somthing about it. They packed their bags, hired the bravest mercenaries they could find and headed to the 'greenest', and most savage lands to the north in an attempt to stake out a claim for themselves.

Now, the decendants of that brave group of nobodies are the ruling members of a council which govern a rising faction of free traders, scanvengers, mercenaris and laborers. This faction is, the Opportunist League. In the OL, nothing is illegal and society is structured on capitalism and egalitarian ethics, a system which has attracted many to the faction capital of Opportunity City.

Although many losses wer suffered at the hands of cannibals, the lucky happening upon of an ancient science outpost gave the original expidition the means they needed to defend themselves. Vast deposits of ore, in the mountain top upon which they now reside, has lead to a thriving and prosperous society north of the Floodlands. This is so much so, that the citizens of Opportunity City have grown decadent and crave the luxuries of the south, namely sake and hashish. Opportunity City residents will pay more then anyone else for their sake to be delivered to them.

The Opportunist League has begun setting up a new town in the swamp called, Sawa-Da to meet the growing demand for sake in its capital and sieze an opportunity to make a large profit. Efforts are slow, and expensive in the swamp however, and the local wildlife has been relentless, almost slowing production to a standstill. The establishment of this new southern sake plantation has greatly upset the Holy Nation as it has led countless vagabounds of all species to seek riches transporting Sake and Hashish thru the much safer passages the Holy Nation controls.

With demand soaring in the north and production stalled in the south, the 'opportunity' is there for a wise wanderer to make massive profit selling sake and hashish to the Opportunist League.....albeit dangerous.......
