Lost Continent

If you're looking for an alternative to The Island map, this map is the one for you.
There are no magical floating islands and there is plenty of land for building on.
There are volcano areas, scorched earth, snowscapes, swamps and redwoods in addition to the regular jungle.
There's underwater and underground caves. Currently you can get 11 artifacts spread throughout mountain caves and underwater caves.
I plan to add a large aberration theme cave very soon also.
The map has some creative items in it, including keratin graveyards, junkyards that yield great resources, and beached deep sea fish for normally hard to get resources.
All the dinos from vanilla ark and scorched earth spawn here, including wyverns and deathworms.
All the boss arenas are working and the manticore arena is included.
The map is the same size as the Island. It is safe to build on now as only caves are left to be added.

Over 200 explorer notes are placed around the map, and are marked with Inukshuks.
The map started out using the topology of the Prince George area of British Columbia, Canada.
The topology was then changed considerably to turn it into an ark map, and in keeping with the Canadian theme, the Inuit Inuksut symbol was subsequently used to mark explorer notes.
The mountains and coasts were made with the Canadian west coast in mind.

To use it you use LostContinent as a map name, and include it as a mod in your mod list.

Keep in mind that this is a work in progress, and that while being past the beta stage, there will still be some bugs that need to be worked out.
Creative criticism and bug reports are welcome, but I cannot answer all requests.
