So I played the main hammerwatch campaign a few times, but felt it was missing something. Probably friends, because I have none. But why make friends when I could just rework the entire game with improvements throughout? Or if I wanted to be truely insane, combine all three vanilla campaigns into one? And thus,

Hammer++!
Hammerwatch, but way better, probably.

An ambitious project, yes, but hopefully a worthwhile one. So, what is included in this version?
Despite being in early beta, this version includes a wonderous:

  • 2 Acts!
  • 2 Bosses!
  • 6 Floors!
  • 2 Bonus Levels!
  • An actual story!
  • Custom enemies!
  • Real puzzles!

Let me know what ya think, so I can improve future versions! Enjoy, my dudes.

Ah, so this map is intended for players with a bit of experience, but I guess not everyone would know this little detail. In Hammerwatch 1, none of the enemies are given names besides what they are called in the game files. In the files, the blue beetle dudes are called "ticks" and the big man-eating plants are called "flowers." For the puzzle, all four buttons need to be pressed, and order does matter. Hope this helps!

I don't understand the first puzzle. I've tried every permutation I can think of and none of them work. Unless order does matter. In that case, I've not. The clue doesn't really make much sense, and I don't know how anyone else has gotten past it?

This was exceptionally fun and we loved playing this local co-op. Just needs refined and it'd be exceptional. I'd LOVE more work to be done on this. Will be looking forward to it. :)
