FinnHEMS is the national administrative unit for Helicopter Emergency Medical Services in Finland. FinnHEMS is owned by equal shares by the five University Hospital Districts in Finland. FinnHEMS is a non-profit organization. Finland is a sparsely populated country so thanks to the wide reach and short response time of the HEMS -activities, all are as equal as possible when it comes to the availability of Emergency Medical Services.
