Warp Clip
The first trick you will learn is a Warp Clip. This is a very easy glitch that will allow you to teleport through walls and access areas that should not be accessible yet.
Status: Saves time
Effect: Allows Cutter to go through/ go on top of walls.
To set up the glitch, you will need to have Cutter holding one of the three teleportation devices. On the side with the hand holding the device, shuffle Cutter to the side of the wall until his arm (the one holding the device) is inside the wall. Drop the device once Cutter's arm is completely inside the wall, and then use it. This glitch will have one of two outcomes: Cutter will appear on the other side of the wall, or cutter will appear on top of the wall/building. This is determined by how thick the wall is and how far Cutter's arm was inside the wall.
Voxel Grabbing
This is a trick use to grab onto areas that shouldn't be grabbed onto.
Status: Saves time
Effect: Cutter can basically grab onto anything and access areas he shouldn't at that time.
As you may already know, the landscapes of the game are made out of thousands of vertical planes mathematically determined by a heightmap, which are known as Voxels, or at least an early version of them. Cutter is programmed to grab onto the very top of a voxel (the top of voxels are usually located on buildings and other flat areas that Cutter is meant to grab onto). Because of this, no matter what the shape or height of the object is, if it has a voxel that is in reach, Cutter will grab it, and pull himself up. This can include trees, mountains, strangely designed buildings and large gates.
Twisted body parts
Just a strange glitch.
Status: For fun
Effect: Causes NPC body parts to twist and break out of place
If Cutter approaches a Talan, and is too close for comfort, the Talan will move back two or three steps before talking to Cutter. If Cutter approaches a Talan that has a wall near its back, it will try to back away, but fail, as the wall is in the way. Because of this, there is a small chance that the Talan's body parts (usually its head) will twist and turn. This happens most often with the singer Talan in Talanzaar.
Infinite health
WARNING: Please keep in mind that this does not work in the physical 1.0 release of Outcast.
Due to an unknown error when updating the game to work on modern hardware, there is a (currently) unpatched glitch that allows the player to have infinite health.
Status: Convenience
Effect: Cutter has a health pack that can be used over and over
In Outcast 1.1, there is a glitch where Cutter uses a health pack that never disappears once used. The reason for this is uncertain, but when you use a healthpack, it will be properly used to replenish health (You can see it on the screen for a split second), but will also immediately return to your inventory instead of being consumed.
