Newman is a fictional character on the American TV show Seinfeld. He was played by comedian and actor Wayne Knight.
Newman was a neighbor and antagonist to the show's main character Jerry Seinfeld, and friend of Seinfeld's friend and neighbor Cosmo Kramer.
In 2016 Rolling Stone magazine ranked Newman #16 on its greatest TV villains of all times.

Newman's wrestling finisher is Hello Jerry. He also tends to laugh cruelly in the ring when his opponent is wounded.
